Now that the summer is long gone and with it went all your money.  Here are ten tips to help you save money so you aren’t spending the last two months of the semester searching for loose change.

  1. Purchase your next car using the GM College Discount.
  2. Track it. You probably don’t realize how much you spend on the little things.
  3. Plan ahead.  You are never to young to map out a budget.  List all income,  parents, scholarships, and money from summer jobs, as well as all expenses, such as tuition, books and beer.
  4. Don’t Max Out! Watch your credit card spending and pay your bills on time.
  5. Buy used textbook.
  6. Learn to cook.  You will save money and be healthier.
  7. Use public transportation.
  8. Stay in.  Instead of hitting the club, find a house party.
  9. Start a business.  Worked for Bill Gates.
  10. Start saving today.  Start small and over time it will grow big.
